Helping You Thrive with Real Food, Real Facts, and a Whole Lot of Heart

Hi! I'm Amy Lawson

Amy Lawson, MS, RD, LDN is a registered dietitian and military spouse who loves making nutrition feel simpler, more realistic, and a whole lot less overwhelming. She’s known for her straightforward, real-talk approach—helping people ditch the fads, fuel their bodies with real food, and build healthy habits that actually stick in real life.

Amy provides individual nutrition counseling, leads corporate wellness workshops and nutrition talks, and teaches hands-on cooking and meal prep classes to help people build real-life skills in the kitchen—not just knowledge. On her YouTube channel, Thrive Nutrition RDN, she shares evidence-based nutrition guidance, myth-busting clarity, and approachable healthy recipes designed for busy women, families, and anyone who wants to feel better without extremes or guilt.

She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Dietetics and Human Nutrition from Kansas State University and a master’s in Dietetics from the University of Central Arkansas. She completed supervised practice in clinical nutrition, community nutrition, and food service management, giving her the experience to support a wide range of clients with both compassion and expertise.

Before entering the nutrition field, Amy earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising and marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology and worked in hotel and resort advertising—experience she now channels into clear communication, creative education, and empowering health messaging. She’s gathered culinary inspiration from living in Italy and Germany and even taking a cooking class in Paris, bringing flavor, culture, and joy to everyday meals.

Amy lives in Colorado Springs, CO with her husband Devin (aka Thrive’s behind-the-scenes tech wizard), their three energetic boys, and a very enthusiastic chocolate lab named Maple. Whether she’s counseling clients, leading a cooking class, or filming a YouTube video with groceries spread across the counter, Amy’s mission is simple: to help people eat well, feel well, and truly thrive—through real food, real life, and real connection.

Devin Lawson, CIO, Technical Expert of All the Things

Devin has been working in tech since before flip phones were cutting-edge. With over 21 years of experience as an Information Systems Officer in the United States Navy, he brings leadership, precision, and a whole lot of tech know-how to Thrive Nutrition RDN. From cybersecurity to backend systems, he’s the one making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. If something digital works—thank Devin. If it doesn’t—he’s probably already fixing it.

When he’s not deep in code or troubleshooting, you’ll find Devin in his workshop, practicing traditional joinery and building heirloom-quality furniture for Lawson Wood Crafts. He’s also an avid photographer with an eye for capturing the little details—whether it’s nature, recipes, or fun hikes with the family. And when it’s time to unplug, he hits the trails with our dog Maple—an avid runner, just like her human.

Whether it’s tech support, tool talk, or dad jokes, Devin brings patience, creativity, and humor to everything he does.
